It's amazing isn't it, how we find it so easy to pass through a huge department store and avoid those sales girls armed with a bottle of the latest designer fragrence and yet, when it comes to the benefit counter; our feet won't move, we stand in awe as we gaze at the candy-store array of bronzers, brushes, concealers.
Yah, this happens to me all the time!
I think the greatest creation Benefit Cosmetics have ever made has to be the Benetint. Now if you don't know how or what this creation is used for, then sit back and i'll tell ya...
Originally named 'Rose Tint' it was created by Benefit Cosmetics in 1977 when an exotic dancer had asked them if they had a product that could make her nipples look pretty and pinker than they were. Overtime, the product gained a new role in the makeup industry and a new name. Now, it's known as Benetint and is used as a lip and cheek stain.
I did own this product and I found the Benetint did exactly as it said on the oh-so-cute box it comes in. It is in liquid form and a glass bottle, so you have to be very careful when opening it. The product itself if almost a transparant red fluid that comes with a similar brush to nail polish, which makes its application so much easier. You are on a time limit when applying to both lips and cheeks, as it is a stain, therefore if not smudged almost instantly, you'll be walking around the whole day with a red stain on you cheek. I talk from experience lol. I loved the appearance it gave to lips but i did find it quite drying so used a clear gloss or lip balm, just to add moisture.
Every season, Benefit Cosmetics create a new brochure for customers, with latest products, descriptions and editors favourites. Even their catalogues are as fun as their makeup!
I went through a phase last year where I bought so much of Benefits collection, I was addicted to their boxed Bronzer; Hoola and concealer; Erase Paste and Ironically enough these are the only items of Benefit makeup I have left.
My stepsister came to visit and I gave most of my Benefit and Mac makeup to her :( It was a difficult thing to do but to be honest, having two jobs I rarely had the time to do basic makeup and It would have hurt more to have watched my collection expire before I could use it.
The products that I owned and used are below, so if you want help, advice or a review on them just message me or tweet me:

Anways, yall are probably falling asleep reading this so i'm gonna finish it here. Before I go, just remember; its not about quality or brand or even about the latest trends. Alot of the makeup I use on a daily basis now are from drugstores. I don't think it really matters to be honest as long as your happy with the results you achieve and whatever makes you feel better.
I apply makeup not because of brand or to impress. Without it I feel like I left my credit card or my blackberry at home. When I wear makeup, I feel unstoppable!
And as Tyra Banks once said: "I love the confidence that makeup gives me"
Love & kisses,
Emma xoxo
